The Federal-Provincial/Territorial Agreements allow provincial and territorial governments to choose immigrants according to the economic needs of the province or territory. Every Canadian province and territory operates its own provincial nominee program (PNP). The applicants may apply to the province subsequent to meeting the eligibility criteria. The province then nominates the applicant to submit the application for permanent residence to Immigration Canada.
